PLAY-off contenders Widnes and Stalybridge Celtic could not be separated as they went head-to-head in search of vital points.
Darius Osei had the game’s first real sight of goal for the visitors, but he could only scuff a shot wide. Jack Mc-Gowan returned the favour at the other end, glancing a tame header off target.
Defences were on top in the first ever meeting between the two clubs, with captain Connor O’Grady shining at the back for the visitors.
