CITY of Liverpool demonstrated their play-off credentials with a dominant win over Widnes yesterday.
The Purps went ahead after 16 minutes when the visitors failed to clear a Kenny Strickland cross, which eventually broke for Elliot Morris to hammer home a brilliant volley.
Widnes grew into the game and could have restored parity on two occasions, but Purps custodian Calvin Hare denied Sean Miller and James Steele.
