HANLEY ended a five- run without a match win and put a dent in Witton Albion’s play-offs hopes.
The outcome was in doubt until the closing stages when Dylan Scott, loaned from Burton, doubled the hosts’ lead with a brilliant goal.
Joe Duckworth’s penalty for Jon Macken’s men, scored in added time, arrived too late to deny their foes.
Hanley had reached the interval with a narrow advantage established by Lucas Baker’s first goal of the season after eight minutes.
