JACK Massey scored twice as Clitheroe boosted their play-off ambitions.
The first half was mostly in Clitheroe’s favour as Bootle keeper Tony Thompson was kept on his toes numerous times.
The biggest chance Bootle had was a header from Connor Harwood that fell wide, but the half was mostly dominated by Clitheroe, who twice felt they should have been awarded a penalty in their favour.
Seven minutes after the break, Clitheroe took the lead with a Massey rebounded shot. Moments later Clitheroe doubled their lead with another goal ...
