SEAN O’Mahony converted a penalty to secure a victory for Runcorn Linnets that returns them to second in the league standings.
He kept his composure to score after substitute Adam Moseley was tripped by Kane Wallwork in the box, helping Billy Paynter’s side to put successive league defeats behind them.
The hosts had taken the lead after 19 minutes when an alert Ryan Brooke poked the ball over the line from close range after Jack Kenny failed to clear Kieran Knapper’s low cross.
