CONSETT picked up their first win in eight games to reignite their faint hopes of reaching the play-offs.
The home side started brightly at a very windy Belle View, and only an excellent challenge by Charlie Oglesby prevented Wil Shaw opening the scoring inside two minutes.
Shaw had another chance, one-on-one with Ben Townsend, but Oglesby cleared again, the scores remaining level at half-time.
