TENTH-placed Liversedge prevailed in this weekend’s mid-table battle, putting two goals past Ashington to keep ticking away within the top half.
After a relatively equal first period, Liversedge capitalised on some pretty chaotic Ashington defending as Eddie Church was grounded in the box.
The dangerous Alfie Raw beat the keeper emphatically to open the scoring in the 52nd minute.
