TWO second-half goals ensured that Avro ended their home campaign with a win, although results elsewhere ultimately ended their hopes of finishing in the play-off places.
The home side dominated the first 45 minutes, with only an inspired performance from visiting keeper Mike Shorthouse ensuring that the game remained goalless at the interval.
However, the deadlock was broken early in the second period, when Bebeto Gomes crossed for Matty
Crothers to score. Crothers then turned provider, when his cross gave Liam Ellis the chance to head home.
