■ IAN Skinner’s final league game of his five season tenure as Ashington manager came to a joyous end with a 2-0 victory.
Andrew Cartwright reminded Ashington fans what they had been missing with 15 minutes played as he dinked over Tom Jackson for the game’s opener.
Wilson Kneeshaw who appeared to have been fouled, regained his feet to tee up Cartwright to slot home.
