SHEPPEY UNITED finished eight points outside the play-off places after winning narrowly at East Grinstead.
Two goals in three firsthalf minutes from Javaun Splatt and Jacob Lambert just after the half-hour mark gave the visitors a deserved lead and the platform for the victory.
Oluremi Onabanjo’s 77thminute penalty halved the deficit, but Grinstead could not find an equaliser.
Splatt’s 34th-minute goal was followed by a sublime free-kick from Lambert.
