KENZIE O’Neill’s goal delivered maximum points for Bootle against Witton Albion and sent Mick McGraa’s men to the top.
His cute finish, using an instep to steer fellow sub James Cooper’s cross inside the near post after 70 minutes, ended the resistance of spirited hosts.
The Northwich side had played from the eighth minute with 10 men following James Hooper’s dismissal by for a foul on Bucks midfielder Kieran Cartwright, but rallied to draw level after the interval when Reece Daly coolly converted a penalty.
