A BRIEF lightning storm saw a bewildering abandonment of a match that Quorn dominated for the 72 minutes that were played. Referee Gary Caley took the players off and, arguably, called the match off way too early.
Cain Noble opened the scoring in the 11th minute, adding a second just 12 minutes later.
Coventry did pull one back with their only highlight of the afternoon as Omotolani Omotola forced a goal home, but the respite was brief as Courey Grantham converted a penalty that he won on the stroke of half-time.
