STOTFORD overcame visitors Aylesbury United to move three points clear of the dropzone in the Southern Central division on Saturday.
In a tough test for both sides, a rather subdued first half saw little action, with Aylesbury seeming particularly frustrated.
The game finally showcased some goalmouth action after the break, however, when the hosts took a shock lead through Haroon Meriai,who found the back of the net to give his side the advantage.
