SUTTON came out on top as they took on Loughborough Students in their first ever meeting.
Sutton took an early lead when Cameron Collins headed home in the tenth minute. A great through ball by Ryan Edmunds found Owen Parry and when he was pulled down Parry converted the resulting penalty. A great save by James Wren in the Sutton goal kept the two-goal lead intact.
Loughborough pulled a goal back in the 47th minute when Auden Brazil hit a spectacular shot from halfway with Wren off his goal.
