FUNNELL DEBUT

BOSTON TOWN bowed out of the Isuzu FA Vase first round 3-1 in new manager Chris Funnell’s first game in charge.
Funnell, 34, who stood down from Lincoln United at the end of last season, replaced Martyn Bunce who retired this month after 40 years in the game. Last season, former striker Funnell led Lincoln to the Vase semi finals and to runners-up position in United Counties Premier North, also managed Lincoln’s women’s team until last week.
