WIDNES kept pace with league leaders Vauxhall Motors as they comfortably saw off Clitheroe yesterday.
The hosts broke the deadlock just before the half-time break when Dominic Mc-Giveron skipped past Jack Walls before advancing in on goal.
Clitheroe shot-stopper Hakan Burton dithered on coming off his line and, it allowed the strike to drill the ball underneath him.
They got a slice of fortune just after the break as Sean Miller made it 2-0 with a lovely strike.
