■ BELPER Town edged a hard-fought win over Ashington, who left the Raygar Stadium frustrated after holding their own throughout. A Curtis Burrows penalty was enough to seal all three points.
Clear-cut chances were rare in the first half, though Belper’s leading scorer Harry Draper threatened twice. Ashington remained resilient into the second half, but the breakthrough came in the 64th minute when Draper was brought down in the box, and Burrows calmly converted from the spot.
