■ RAYNERS Lane left Metropolitan Police heartbroken and slipping into the drop zone after a goal deep in stoppage-time broke the stalemate.
Lane struggled to take control of the game, and neither attack could get the better of the opposition’s defence. The change to five substitutes does not help the flow of games and nine were made in the second half, breaking up play when impetus was building.
