■ HAVING put in a decent shift for an hour, Bridges’ young side fell apart against the more experienced Margate side.
There was nothing to choose between the sides in a first half before a clumsy challenge by Hayden Velvick on Kai Carande on the stroke of half-time led to a penalty calmly stroked home by Margate’s Ibrahim Olutade.
But Velvick atoned within a minute of the second half when Billy Irving’s long throw caused havoc in the Margate defence and Velvick eventually jabbed it home.
