MAX McCarthy scored the only goal of the game to keep Congleton Town in the playoff places and extend their unbeaten run in the league to seven matches.
The striker showed great composure after collecting a clever pass from Pete Williams in the 26th minute, calmly slotting in his 15th goal of the season.
McCarthy almost added a second before the break, narrowly missing the target after George Sankey glided into the penalty area and slid a pass his way.
