■ THE referee gave the go-ahead after a downpour, though many Corby fans might have wished he hadn’t.
The Steelmen struggled with the pitch conditions from the outset, unable to play their usual passing game. Khalsa, however, applied early pressure before going down to ten men in the 12th minute when Andre Landell was sent off for a high tackle.
