■ CONCORD started brightly and didn’t relinquish their authority, with an early opening for young Connor Brooks coming close with his rasping volley testing the palms of Max Spence.
Brooks had another bite at the cherry with a flicked header being parried away before Alfie Gilbey’s powerful strike was tipped over by Spence.
The deadlock was broken just shy of the break, a delicious delivery off the left being thumped home by the head of Jamal Allen.
