LONG Eaton let maximum points slip from n their grasp as lowly Lye levelled with a late penalty.
An early strike from James Taylor put Long Eaton in command after his shot-onthe-turn squirmed beyond the grasp of goalkeeper George Barrett and rolled agonisingly for Lye over the goal line.
The visitors looked set to put the issue beyond doubt when Lye defender Danny Cartwright handled Liam Loughlan’s cross but Barrett came to the rescue by superbly saving Lewis Wright’s 68th minute spot-kick.
