■ PLAY-OFF chasing Congleton got their first win in five as they defeated Wythenshawe with an injury-time goal.
The ten men of Wythenshawe looked set to take a point back to Manchester only for Max McCarthy to feed Tom Hampton who ghosted the ball beyond Kyle Haslam to seal it.
It was the least Richard Duffy’s men deserved as they had rained shots in on the Wythenshawe goal only to be denied by Haslam who was in fine form. His best save came from a stunning Max McCarthy free-kick after 14 minutes.
