■ WALTHAM ABBEY moved to two points off second place and four from the top after winning at Newmarket Town.
The Abbots dominated possession, but found Newmarket’s defence solid and, behind them, James Young was in sparkling form. He had already made a number of good saves before he was finally beaten in the 33rd minute.
Although Amrit Bansal-McNulty was originally credited with the goal, it was Prince Domafriyie who got the decisive final touch. Newmarket rarely troubled Brad Robinson in the Abbots’ goal.
