■ CLEETHORPES spent the first 25 minutes on the backfoot as the home side dominated, but a Bradley Abbott header brought Sebastian Malkowski out of his goal to save.
Despite pressure from Bridlington, it was the Owls to strike first when a free kick for Nicky Walker was saved by the Polish shot stopper only to fall to Ben Middleton who headed his shot past the diving Seasiders goalkeeper.
The second half action ramped up in the 69th minute with a chance for Cleethorpes’ Josh Walker, saved by Malkowski.
