■ HERTFORD left it late,  but managed to take all three points against plucky basement side North Leigh.
The hosts created the bulk of the chances in an open first half but could not force a breakthrough, with Marcus Painter striking a post and visiting keeper Monty Marriott making a string of good saves.
The opener came near the hour mark when Joe Nardelli got on the end of a Painter cross from close range.
