■ ETHAN Hartshorn’s winning goal ten minutes from time handed Congleton a crucial win over Wythenshawe, who slipped into the bottom four.
Hartshorn stooped to head home Matt Gilliam’s cross to secure the Bears’ fourth consecutive win.
They were made to work for the win by a stubborn visiting side that included former Bears keeper Craig Ellison in the sticks.
He made two fine saves to deny Dan Needham the opener when he had been played in, while Gillam was unlucky not to add a second in the dying minutes.
