■ CONSETT picked up a massive three points in their fight against relegation with a battling win over second-placed Dunston.
They gave a first start to 17-year-old forward Matty Todd, and he came close to opening the scoring with a 25-yarder which flew just wide.
The all-important goal came in the 10th minute when Donny Holdsworth’s clever backheel found Isaac Walker, who beat Dan Lowson at his near post for his 17th goal of the season. JJ O’Donnell had the ball in the net for Dunston, but was judged offside, and Consett were unlucky not to ...
