■ CONSETT travelled to Ossett and secured the three points that guarantee their safety for another year with a real smash-and-grab job which leaves Ossett still needing points to avoid the drop.
The Consett defence were on top form as Ossett dominated large parts of the game creating plenty of chances, but unable to take advantage.
