AFC Croydon Athletic, the club whose co-chairmen include Wilfried Zaha and Stormzy, have parted company with manager Jermaine McGlashan.
The Pitching In Isthmian League South East side won promotion from Step 5 last year, but have picked up just two points from five games, leaving them outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
The Rams lost 3-0 at Erith Town in the league on Saturday and are already out of the FA Cup.
McGlashan was appointed in October last year with the club 17th in Combined Counties Premier Division South. They rose up the league and won promotion via the play-offs, defeating Jersey Bulls and Knaphill.
Co-chairman Danny Young told the club’s official website:
“It has been an exciting time and I want to thank Jermaine for his hard work.
He has worked tirelessly during his time with us and wish him every success in the future.”
Assistant manager Chris Zebroski has also departed.
Croydon‘s next game is this Saturday 21 September when they travel to Uxbridge in an FA Trophy 2nd Qualifying Round tie.
