Belper Town face a challenge to maintain their high-scoring form away against a tight Consett defence on Saturday.
With 54 goals in 25 games, Belper are the joint-top scorers in the Northern Premier League Division One East ahead of the 3pm kick-off.
They face a Consett side who have scored 41 in 22 matches, but conceded only 29 goals, putting them fourth among the league’s tightest defences – only Stockton Town, Dunston UTS and Pontefract Collieries have conceded fewer goals.
Belper are second in the table after 25 games, of which they have won 15 and drawn three, earning 48 points.
Consett are three places behind Town in fifth, with 13 wins and two draws putting them on 41 points.
The hosts are in mixed form in the Northern Premier League Division One East, with two wins and a draw from their last six games.
With five wins and one loss over that period, the away side’s form is much better – they have taken 15 points from 18, compared to Consett’s seven.
Consett’s last match was on February 3, a 3-1 loss against Hebburn Town.
Belper beat Ossett United 2-0 last time out, on February 10.
