Gresley are on a terrible run ahead of hosting Lye Town at the Moat Ground on Saturday, with just two points collected from their last six games.
Gresley have picked up two draws and four losses in their last six Northern Premier League Division One – Midlands games, and face a Lye side whose last six games have brought three wins and one draw.
Gresley are bottom of the table after 33 games, of which they have won four and drawn eight, earning 20 points.
Lye are 13 places ahead of the hosts in seventh, with 16 wins and seven draws putting them on 55 points.
With 32 goals in 33 games so far this season, Gresley are the league’s joint-third-lowest scorers with 1.0 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 85 goals at a rate of 2.6 per game.
Town are also below average scorers, with 1.5 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 1.1 goals per game.
Gresley’s last match was on Monday, a 1-1 draw against Rugby Town.
