Harborough Town travel for Saturday’s match against Sporting Khalsa looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands.
Harborough, who sit second in the league after 32 games, fell to a 2-0 home defeat to AFC Rushden and Diamonds on Monday.
They face a Sporting side who picked up a win in their last match, a 3-0 victory against Walsall Wood, and who sit eighth in the table.
With 66 goals in 32 games so far this season, Harborough are the league’s third-highest scorers with 2.1 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 23 goals at a rate of 0.7 per game.
Sporting, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.5 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.6. They have conceded 1.6 goals per game.
In the last three years, Sporting and Harborough have played each other on three occasions. Sporting won two of them and Harborough one.
Their last meeting was on November 11, when Harborough won 2-0 at home.
The hosts are in mixed form in the Northern Premier League Division One Midlands, with three wins and a draw from their last six games.
With three wins and two draws over that period, Town’s form is slightly better – they have taken 11 points from 18, compared to Sporting’s 10.
