Newly promoted Worcester City will take on last year’s runners-up Anstey Nomads on the opening day in Pitching In NPL Midlands.
Anstey missed out on the title by a point before losing to Harborough Town in the play-off final, while FA Vase semi-finalists Worcester lost just one game en route to winning the Hellenic Premier at a canter.
Wellingborough Town and Long Eaton United were two divisions apart last term but meet on day one this year. Wellingborough won UCL Premier Division South by 12 points while Long Eaton’s stint in Step 3 lasted just a year, suffering relegation from Southern League Premier Central.
AFC Rushden & Diamonds, who received a reprieve, start at home to Lye Town, while Grantham Town, who have switched from East to Midlands, host Walsall Wood on day one.
Promoted sides Darlastan Town, Loughborough Students and Racing Club Warwick all begin on the road at Rugby Town, Coleshill Town and Boldmere St Michaels respectively.
The division’s other fixtures see Coventry Sphinx host Shepshed Dynamo, Hinckley LR face Corby Town, Quorn home to Sutton Coldfield Town and Sporting Khalsa vs Bedworth United.
