Kidsgrove Athletic face a challenge to maintain their high-scoring form at home against a tight Avro defence on Saturday.
With 43 goals in 26 games, Kidsgrove are the joint-fourth-highest scorers in the Northern Premier League Division One West ahead of the 3pm kick-off at the Seddon Stadium.
They face an Avro side who have scored 28 in 26 matches, but conceded only 26 goals, putting them third among the league’s tightest defences – only Prescot Cables and Widnes have conceded fewer goals.
Kidsgrove are in terrible form in the Northern Premier League Division One West, with no wins and two draws from their last six games.
With a win and two draws over that period, Avro’s form is better – they have taken five points from 18, compared to Athletic’s two.
The hosts are 14th in the table after 26 games, of which they have won nine and drawn seven, earning 34 points.
The away team are five places ahead of Kidsgrove in ninth, with nine wins and 11 draws putting them on 38 points.
Kidsgrove’s last match was on February 10, a 1-1 draw against Bootle.
Avro lost 2-1 against Clitheroe last time out, on February 3.
