ADAM Seedhouse-Evans made a double save from Basingstoke striker George Hallahan within the first two minutes to prevent the home side getting off to the worst possible start.
Barnstaple went ahead in the 15th minute when Theo Ofori headed home. The visitors suffered a further setback when Ben Jefford saw red for bringing down Theophilus Oforil. Basingstoke levelled through McKoy Palmer before Nathan Cooper restored Barnstaple’s lead.
