CIRENCESTER TOWN defender Josh Nelmes knows it’s his job to help stop goals, but he took things to the extreme in last Saturday’s FA Trophy tie with Paulton Rovers.
The centre-back started the match on the bench and watched on as goalkeeper Alex Harris was sent off after 35 minutes for colliding with Dan Cottle, conceding his second penalty of the match in the process.
Nelmes got the nod as his replacement ahead of a more suitable candidate.
