■BUXTON survived a late onslaught from Grantham Town to secure a vital three points.
Buxton were the first to show and Grantham keeper Kieran Preston saved well after only three minutes.
The game became scrappy but Buxton went ahead on ten minutes as Preston came out to clear a through ball, only finding Liam Hardy who was first to it and able to find the empty net from a considerable distance.
Grantham couldn’t take advantage of two free-kicks on the edge of the box as they ended the half on top, but couldn’t break down a solid defence.
