SHIELDS ROMP TO SIMPLE VICTORY

SOUTH SHIELDS eased to a comfortable win after a Brighouse sending off changed the match.
Referee David Jones showed red to Town defender Adam Field in the 75th minute for a shirt pull, with his side in the ascendency and only 2-1 down, with Barry Smith scoring from the spot.
The Mariners went on to score two further goals through Graeme Armstrong and substitute Matthew Pattison to give the score an untrue feel.
The visitors had led 2-0 at half-time through goals from Carl Finnigan on 23 minutes and Louis Storey on the stroke of half-time.
