TIVIDALE have cried foul over a decision by the Total Motion Midland League to promote Ilkeston to the Premier Division.
Ilkeston finished runners- up in the league’s Division One, whereas Tividale finished second in the West Midlands (Regional) League into which they were relegated a year ago.
When the Midland League was formed three years ago, it absorbed the former Midland Combination at its Division One. The West Midlands League, a parallel Step 6 competition to the Combination, and the East Midlands Counties League, were given equal status as feeders into the Midland Premier.
