CHARD Town have decided not to fight the FA’s decision to boot them out of the Western League after 43 years because of the notorious sloping pitch at Zembard Lane.
The Robins decided not to exercise their right to appeal the decision, despite finishing seventh out of 20 clubs in Division One last season.
Chard have spent years battling against the threat of relegation because of the slope. Five years ago, the FA blocked Chard from entering the FA Cup and FA Vase because of the slope.
