JUNIOR WILL LEARN ROPES

JUNIOR Montgomery has been promoted to manager of Bridon Ropes’ Southern Counties East League Division One side.
Montgomery, who has been in charge of the club’s under 18s side, will be assisted by the club’s current top goalscorer and manager’s player of the season Nathan Simpson.
Montgomery replaces James Doherty, who has left Bridon after they narrowly missed out on promotion.
A poor run in the final few games saw the team finish fourth.
Doherty, the club’s all-time leading scorer, also saw his side finish runners- up in the London Senior Trophy.
