ALPORT’S BOSS HAS GONE FOR A BURTON

WHITCHURCH Alport have parted company with manager Matt Burton by mutual consent – after just 125 days in charge of the North West Counties Premier Division outfit.
Former FC Oswestry boss Burton was appointed in December after Luke Goddard stood aside after three-and-a-half years at the helm.
An Alport statement said: “The decision was one not taken lightly by the club’s committee especially given the premature end to the last campaign and uncertainty as to when football may resume.
