WYTHENSHAWE Amateurs have celebrated their president John Walker’s 70 years with the Hollyhedge Park club by naming their new main stand after him.
The stand at the North West Counties Division One South club was unveiled by the High Sheriff of Manchester Eamonn O’Neill last Sunday.
Chairman Carl Barratt said: “To name a stand after John is a great tribute to immortalise all the work he has done over the years.” Walker said: “I was really emotional when I first saw the stand.
