HIGHGATE United are to ‘restage’ their tragic FA Amateur Cup quarter final in which centre-half Tony Allden died after being struck by lightning 50 years ago.
The Midland League Premier Division club named their main stand in honour of Allden to mark the half-centenary of the tragedy on February 25, 1967, with his widow and sister as guests of honour.
