LLANDUDNO TOP OF THE TABLE AFTER JONES’ GOAL

LLANDUDNO went top of the JD Welsh Premier League with a 1-0 win over Connah’s Quay Nomads.
Connah’s Quay had Mike Pearson sent off but Sam Hart hit the resulting penalty wide. But Llandudno scored in the second half through Toby Jones.
Meanwhile, Bala Town sealed a 2-1 triumph to end Cardiff Met’s perfect start. The cup winners went ahead through Nathan Burke but Adam Roscrow levelled. But Bala won it when Chris Venables saw his spot-kick saved and netted the rebound.
Bangor had a 1-0 win over Prestatyn Town. Danny Holmes’s strike proved enough.
