CAMARTHEN HOLD ON IN SMOTHERS’ FINE START

CARMARTHEN TOWN secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Newtown in the Welsh Premier League Play-Off Conference at Richmond Park in Neil Smothers’ first game as interim manager.
The Old Gold raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to strikes from Liam Thomas and Aiden O’Kelly. Thomas grabbed his tenth of the season just before the break.
Nick Rushton and Kieran Mills- Evans ignited a comeback for Newtown but Carmarthen held on for a valuable three points.
