EASTWOOD Hanley are on the verge of returning to senior Non-League football after an absence of more than two decades.
At one stage having reached the Northern Premier League Division One, vandalism forced them out of their Trentmill Road ground in the early 90s, and despite having groundshared with Kidsgrove Athletic and Newcastle Town, Eastwood folded in 1997. A bid to revive the club in 2009 came to nothing.
In 2014, grassroots outfit Sandford Hill Allstars took over the name and joined the Staffordshire County League.
