CONNAH’S QUAY NOMADS lead the Welsh Premier League – at least for 24 hours – after a 3-1 win over Carmarthen Town.
Jay Owen fired Connah’s Quay into the lead with a ferocious volley, but that was cancelled out by Liam Thomas after the break. Andy Owens headed the hosts in front from close range before Ryan Wignall sealed the win.
They replaced The New Saints at the top of the table, but Scott Ruscoe’s men can return to the summit if they beat Cardiff Met.
